Breakfast Tray and Tea Towel Gift Set
Finnish textile designer Jonna Saarinen’s work combines influences from Nordic nature and memories of times gone by, brought together in a range of interior items developed by hand drawing, mark making and screen printing.
Since her graduation from the Royal College of Art in the summer 2011, Jonna has launched her self titled homeware label and also worked on several freelance design projects and collaborations, including co-designing a women’s & children’s wear collection with the Design Laboratory at the Innovation Centre of Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design.
Jonna currently works as a textile designer and a screen printer at her studio in south London, and regards herself as a lover of VW campers and foxes.
The story behind Jonna’s current collection, Hundreds & Thousands, started long ago when she was growing up by the sea in south west Finland. Summers were long & hot and time was spent running bare feet in the forest with her grandmother.
While studying for her Masters Degree at the Royal College of Art in 2010 she decided to base her final collection on the happy memories of those summers and her gran’s amazing style of woolly socks & aprons.
Hundreds & Thousands, celebrates all the possible miss matching styles, over printing, everything seaside, saying ‘hurrah!’ to way too many patterns and of course the gorgeous Finnish nature that gave the collection its vibrant colour palette.

Breakfast Tray and Tea Towel Set (Retail Value $54)
This giveaway includes one laminated wooden tray and one tea towel. The laminated wooden tray is made from sustainably sourced Scandinavian birch wood featuring a one of my prints. Tray dimensions: 20 cm x 27 cm, perfect size to carry your mug of morning coffee and a slice of toast or a cupcake! This tray is dishwasher safe, but hand washing recommended as it prolongs the life of the tray! The tea towel is linen crisp white with an anchor motif, perfect for smear free glasses. Towel dimensions are 48cm x & 78cm, and the towel comes with a little cotton loop for hanging. Both tray and towel are hand printed in South London with solvent & chemical free Permaset inks, artwork and design by Jonna Saarinen.
